Let’s Build Bridges Between Us

Created by Jews of Color (JOCs), Between Us is a bridge-building card game inviting brave conversations on antisemitism, racism, identity, intersectionality, and solidarity.

Whether you’re Jewish, BIPOC, or both, this game is a chance to share your nuanced experiences, lean into curiosity, and build meaningful cross-community connections

a tool for Connection in the fight against antisemitism and racism

Level 1 card: Going in a circle, have each player finish the sentence: "To me, solidarity means..."
Level 2 card: "What was a time that someone showed up for you as an ally? What about their allyship did you appreciate?"

Between Us addresses antisemitism from a JOC lens by centering the lived experiences of Jews of Color, whose intersecting identities expose them to both antisemitism in their racial and ethnic communities, and racism within Jewish spaces. Traditional conversations about antisemitism often overlook the nuanced ways JOCs experience exclusion, code-switching, and unbelonging. This game creates a structured yet playful way to engage in meaningful dialogue, allowing JOCs to articulate their experiences, challenge assumptions, and cultivate solidarity across identities. By fostering connection, cultural exchange, and embodied reflection, the game equips JOCs and their broader communities with practical tools to recognize and disrupt antisemitism while deepening cross-community allyship.

What the community is saying

  • “I was given a chance to express things that have been weighing on my heart given the political climate. I feel like this game encourages real, meaningful dialogue with people who wouldn't otherwise speak to one another.”

    — JOC community member

  • "Participating in Correlate's Between Us was genuinely cathartic. As a mental health clinician, Jewish educator, and nonprofit lay leader, I am no stranger to reflective group spaces. Even so, something about gathering around play opened feelings and realizations I hadn't expected. Our group included seasoned creatives, educators, lay leaders, and aspiring clergy, and Between Us gave us a container to speak honestly about antisemitism, Zionism, and the complexity of Jewish identity. That kind of vulnerable, nuanced conversation moved us somewhere new together. I am genuinely excited this tool exists, and I hope to see it on dining room tables, in boardrooms, synagogues, classrooms, and leadership retreats."

  • ”The game is truly a bridge between worlds that you didn’t even know fully existed. Before this we were represented by stereotypes and tropes of each other, instead of meaning and nuance of the diversity of Jewish culture and life.”

    — Ayyub Hanif (he/him/bro)

  • “Absolutely recommend playing this game with close friends and family. Not only to get to know them better but also to give yourself a chance to get to know yourself better. I felt very safe playing this game.”
